Locals Are Treated to A New Cirque de Soleil Experience With Amaluna

The story of Amaluna is the story of the triumph and strength of love, in a world where everything is out to get you. Opening on December 11th, Amaluma invites the audience to a mysterious island governed by Goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon.

As the story goes:

Their queen, Prospera, directs her daughter’s coming-of-age ceremony in a rite that honors femininity, renewal, rebirth and balance which marks the passing of these insights and values from one generation to the next.

In the wake of a storm caused by Prospera, a group of young men lands on the island, triggering an epic, emotional story of love between Prospera’s daughter and a brave young suitor.

But theirs is a love that will be put to the test. The couple must face numerous demanding trials and overcome daunting setbacks before they can achieve mutual trust, faith and harmony.

Locals be warned though, while the mysterious Island featured on the show’s posters, which by now have been spread across the city, may look terribly like our own beloved Pace Picnic Island (that’s the one affectionately referred to as ‘Pachanga Island’), The Cirque du Soleil installation in fact is taking place under the big top located next to the SunLife Stadium.

Tickets are available now, and start at $35 for matinees (exclusive of any taxes and fees) with group discounts available. Buy yours here.
